Why are many people against homosexuals?
I think it's just a lack of education and exposure. I have to admit that the first time I see a homosexual couple, I felt awkward, and learned something about myself: Most of the time, it's not that I'm not tolerate. I just didn't know. Knowledge = Tolerance = Power
I just answered this Featured Question, you can answer it too!

for some people, it's because it's condemned in older versions of the bible. sure, being ignorant and sheltered speeds up the process, but it's also because some people can't empathize with being attracted to their own sex so they classify it as wrong.
I agree with you on that point. In addition to that, Christianity is not
the only religion that is highly against homosexuality. Don't forgot what Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said in public, and he's a student of Qur'an for a long time.
Out of the
more popular religions, I think only Buddhism tolerates homosexuality. Please correct me if I'm wrong.
